For the 2nd time the Eco Field Days took place on 03th/04th July 2019 on the Hessian state domain Frankenhausen, Kassel. 11 000 visitors were counted. The event was organised by Fibl Projekte GmbH, co-organised by the Hessian Ministry of Agriculture, the University of Kassel and the Hessian State Agricultural Office.
The Lake Constance Foundation got the chance to hold a workshop on climate change and adaptation on the first day of the event, in which participants were introduced to climate change and its effects on agriculture. Together with the participants, adaptation measures in the areas of arable farming, dairy farming and permanent crops were discussed. The result was that it is worth implementing sustainable adaptation measures to reduce vulnerability to climate change in the future!
