24-25 April, 2019 an international agricultural forum Agroforum Mare Balticum took place in Estonia. The ambition of the current year conference was to reflect agroecology as a concept from different angles. Agroforum is a good platform for three-level discussions between policymakers, researchers and entrepreneurs with the help of the main international organisations (FAO, OECD, European Commission etc.) in the sector. The forum was organised by Estonian University of Life Sciences and Estonian Ministry of Rural Affairs in cooperation with Estonian Chamber of Agriculture and Commerce, Estonian Rural Development Foundation, Estonian Center of Eastern Partnership, Council of the Baltic Sea States and the city of Tartu.

LIFE AgriAdapt project methodology, activities and recommendations were presented and discussed in the session of “Climate change and agroecology”, which was organised together with Council of the Baltic Sea States.

The participants of Agroforum were mainly coming from the countries bordering the Baltic Sea, such as Finland, Sweden, Denmark, Germany, Poland, Lithuania, Latvia and Russia, and also the Eastern partnership countries, such as Ukraine, Moldova, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus and Georgia.
