The Spanish partner of LIFE AgriAdapt, Fundación Global Nature, participated at the “New sustainable challenges in agriculture” Forum held in Zaragoza (Spain) on 13th December 2016. Vanessa Sánchez gave the Opening Lecture “Sustainability challenges for the farming sector: sustainable sourcing and climate change” and explained the activities implemented by the LIFE AgriAdapt project.

This event, organized by CEOE Aragón (the regional Confederation of Business Organisations), aimed to analyse the challenges in the farming sector due to different factors, such as climate change or the management of the natural resources. The contribution of this sector to the Spanish economy accounts for 10%, which makes it a key sector where R&D can play a crucial role.

The speakers included representatives of the Agrifood Research and Technology Centre of Aragón (CITA), fertilizer companies, engineering companies, the University of Zaragoza or the Spanish High Council for Scientific Research.
